Nicky brings two decades of experience in animation and visual effects education to her role at MDS. Her passion for visual media has been a driving force throughout her career, evolving from a foundation in architecture to a dedicated focus on animation and game art design.
After earning a diploma in Architecture from the University of Technology, Malaysia, Nicky pursued her growing interest in animation by obtaining a degree in Film and Animation from Multimedia University in Malaysia in 1999. In 2002, she moved to New Zealand and began her teaching career at Media Design School, where she played a pivotal role in developing the 2D curriculum for the Animation program in 2003.
Nicky is deeply interested in exploring diverse styles and techniques in character and story illustration. She is currently channelling her creativity into illustrating a children's book.
