If you are absent or running late, you must email your lecturer or programme director and include away@mediadesignschool.com. Please include your full name and an estimate of how late you will be or how many classes you will miss, if known.
Notifications of absence must be made prior to commencement of scheduled class(es).
We have a collection point for lost items at reception. When an item is handed in, we photograph it and make a post on Discord in the lost-and-found channel of the Student Hub server.
Valuable items are held but not posted publicly, please enquire at reception.
Student Card provides a range of discounts which last for two years. The card can also be used for official identification, and for students based in Auckland, it also provides access to the building and elevators.
Only currently enrolled students are eligible for a student ID card. If unsure, please check with one of our staff at reception.
For support
Please reach out to reception@mediadesignschool.com or speak to one of us in person at the front desk. Call 093030402 if a card is lost or stolen.
Get a card
If you don't yet have an ID card and would like one, please send a passport style photo to the above email address. The card will take about two weeks to process, and we will let you know when it's ready for collection from reception.
Lost cards
As soon as you have identified that your card has been lost or stolen you must contact Media Design School reception in order to have access cancelled, you can also do this to reactivate it should you find it again.
Replace a card
Please get in touch and we will send you a personalised link which will take you to your profile on Student Card. Once in the app, select 'reprint' and follow the prompts, the cost is $8 payable with visa or debit.
Online students
If you study online, you can have an ID card too. The process is the same, except we will need your postal address to have it couriered to you once it is ready.
If you need an update
Your student ID card should last you until the completion of your degree. Discounts expire after two years, but the details printed on the front should still be accurate. If you do require an update for any reason, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
If it's faulty
Occasionally Student ID cards and temporary access cards stop granting building and elevator access. If that happens to you, please let us know and we will either re-programme or replace the faulty card.
