Media Design School signs MOU with leading university in Vietnam

Media Design School, New Zealand’s premier institution for digital media and creative technology education, is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The agreement, announced as part of Media Design School’s participation in Prime Minister, Hon. Christoper Luxon’s mission to Vietnam, represents a strategic move to strengthen international collaboration, foster academic exchange, and create new opportunities for students. 

Strong international educational partnerships 

Prime Minister, Hon. Christopher Luxon said that leveraging educational opportunities between New Zealand and South-East Asia was a priority for driving investment: 

Tertiary education has growing economic and social value as it increases employability, skills and knowledge. The New Zealand government is pleased that Media Design School is entering into MOUs that will create more opportunities for students in both New Zealand and South-East Asia,” said Mr Luxon. 

Ruth Cooper, Director – Industry & Alumni (Australia | New Zealand) and Co-Chair of the Quality Tertiary Institutions said the MOU marks an important milestone in Media Design School’s ongoing efforts to build international relationships:

This partnership aims to cultivate cross-cultural exchanges, collaborative learning opportunities, and create pathways for students to access global career opportunities in the fast-growing digital and technology sectors."

This agreement represents our commitment to delivering world-class education to learners who wish to build on their studies from these universities to Media Design School. It will also offer Media Design School students unique opportunities to engage in international projects and study abroad programs," said Ms Cooper.

The exchanging of the MOU with Professor Nguyen Dac Trung from Hanoi University and Ruth Cooper, Media Design School, is a significant step toward building stronger academic ties between New Zealand and Vietnam and providing students with global learning experiences in the rapidly advancing technology landscape.
